Rajaton Abba Concert with Minnesota Orchestra [28.03.2006]

Hi:

I had never heard of you, I bought a ticket at the last minute after hearing a 20 second soundbite of ABBA music on Public Radio. After hearing the first 30 seconds of your singing, I knew I could never hear enough and that it would end too soon. The precision, cleanliness, wide range and beautiful sweet sound was a warm wonderful bath of joy for my soul. I hope you enjoyed your brief visit to Minnesota and can return again. We miss you already, but know Finland must share you with the whole wide world. Thank you for being more than I could ever have imagined possible. Thank you for bringing me Springtime in a most joyous wonderful way.
Thank you for loving music. Thank you for your work helping the world love music.

I only had to travel 7 miles to your concert at Orchestera Hall, but after hearing it, would almost be willing to travel 7000. My 83 year old mother who wasn't even familiar with ABBA music, thoroughly enjoyed your concert. I have just purchased 3 of your CD's. Can't wait to get them.

ABBA in Minneapolis [27.03.2006]

Hello from Canada,

I was fortunate to attend one of your concerts in British Columbia in 2005, as well as to see you the following week in Banff, Alberta. Since then, our family has been fascinated with your music (even my husband, who rarely shows any preference in music!) My son and some of his friends are in a community choir that is busy rehearsing some of your music ready for performing later in the year.

So, it was an easy decision for my husband and myself to travel from Vancouver to Minneapolis this last weekend to witness your ABBA concert on the Friday evening. Despite being tired from the travelling (over 6 hours on aircraft as we came via Toronto), we both thoroughly enjoyed your concert and would not have missed it for the world! It was particularly nice to hear Virpi taking the lead in some of the arrangements.

You guys are amazing, a sold out large concert hall of people of all ages sat spellbound for almost two hours of music. We never wanted it to end – living in North America, we never know if you will ever perform ABBA again on this side of the Atlantic Ocean. That having been said, do you have a release date for your ABBA CD? I’m sure that more of your English speaking fans would love to hear your unique interpretation of the ABBA music. The only track we have so far is “Fernando” which is on your Christmas DVD purchased from your online store. Incidentally, this DVD plays fine on our computers over here.

While at the concert, we were able to pick up your new CD “Out of Bounds” – we took several copies of it back for our son and his friends, who ever since Banff are avid fans! When is this CD going to be available on your website and in stores who distribute your music? We are all really are enjoying the new tracks, plus the re-recordings of some of our “old favourites”.

The whole family is looking forward to your return to Vancouver this summer and can’t wait to purchase tickets when they go on sale. We hope that you will be performing some of the tracks from your new CD at that time.

Hei, olen lukenut mielenkiinnolla uutisia mahdollisesta Abba-levystä. Vaikka olette esittäneet Abbaa orkesterin säestyksellä, lienee kysymys muitenkin a-cappella-levystä, eikö vain?

Koskahan saamme kuulla tuota Rajatonta Abba-levyä? Odotan mielenkiinnolla, miten olette saaneet sovitettua jo alunperin monimutkaisesti sovitetut Abbakappaleet yhtyeellenne.

No olipa mahtavaa!! Miten kaunis voikaan ihmisinstrumentti olla. Äänenne soi kauniisti ja vaikuttavasti, stressin poistaen ja hyvän olon tuoden. Akustiikka toi äänenne aivan viereen, vaikkei väenpaljouden vuoksi teitä joka hetki nähnytkään :) Onnea tuleviin konsertteihinne ja iloa kevääseen ja tulevaan kesään!

I just came here because I Love Rajaton so much, I got a chance to see them live in festival 500, Newfoundland. We had a blast listening to "Butterfly" I was blown away, And i would just like to thank you guys for being such great idols for me, Im in a Choir myself, I dont know if you remember us, we were the "Children's Community Choir". I never did get to fully thank you for the experiences you gave our High school choir group. Coming to Argyle was amazing, and thank you for the live performance. I know from everyone that I talked to, we all enjoyed your performance at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival in Banff.

Hello everyone! One of your very devoted Canadian fans writing in - I recently snagged a VERY hard to find copy of your Christmas Joulu tour DVD from 2003, which I was able to play on my computer, and loved it! I was especially thrilled to have performance version of Heinella Harkien, one of if not my favorite Rajaton piece. Is there any way I can get ahold of the arrangement of this song? I have been doing my best to transpose it but there are a couple of spots that have me stumped. I would really look forward to the day when some of your older pieces might be assembled and sold as a songbook or something akin to that. And of course I hope you'll all come sing in Canada again soon. Best of luck with your numerous endeavors this season!
