03.07.2009: Europa Cantat Utrecht

Rajaton gives masterclasses and concerts throughout the Europa Cantat festival, organized by the European Federation of Young Choirs, on July 18-25 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We appear at the opening ceremony of the festival, teach at our own atelier for vocal groups, give a concert of our own, and finally perform together with the atelier participant groups. This is our longest continuous teaching period thus far, and we're looking forward to it with enthusiasm!

Right before Utrecht we give two concerts in western Germany. On Wednesday, July 15, we perform "semi-acoustically" (=with stereo microphones) at Palatinum concert hall in Mutterstadt, next to Wiesbaden, at Touch the Future youth choir festival. On Thursday, July 16, we sing unamplified at Erbach's Johanneskirche in Eltville, near Mannheim, as part of the Burghofspiele concert series.
