News23.02.2009: Interesting YouTube clipsAs performing artists, our attitude towards YouTube is in principle quite reserved, because people tend to post there clips, extremely varying in quality, from our gigs and sometimes even sound checks or workshops. But the old wisdom is, if you can't beat them, join them; so here we are, recommending some of the better clips added lately. Let's start with a very pleasant case: one of the "ice princesses" of Finland, Kiira Korpi, recently used our song Butterfly as the music for her exhibition programme at the figure skating European Championships in Helsinki, and her beautiful choreography really does add something on the song. Check it out by clicking here. One of the most surprising quarters that have utilized our music is the Teal Sound Drum & Bugle Corps from Jacksonville, Florida. Their arrangers compiled the music for both 2007 and 2008 productions from Rajaton's material. Last summer Teal Sound became fifth at the DCI Open Class World Championships; a great achievement in a contest of an extremely high level! Watch their performance, based mostly on the songs from our Maa album, by clicking here. As mentioned, not all our concert recordings we keep finding in the web are, in our own opinion, anywhere near fit for publication. However, from our show last autumn at the VoiceMania festival, Vienna, someone has added (again without permission, though...) a pretty decent take on Butterfly. Feel free to enjoy it by clicking here. << Previous | Next >> Back |
