02.09.2010: Rovaniemi concert cancelled!

Rajaton has been forced to cancel their performance in a UNICEF charity concert in Rovaniemi, Finland, due to a case of illness. Essi's backache, which had already lasted for several weeks, eventually became so bad that cancelling the show was the only option. Essi will now take a month off to recover for the tours later this autumn.

The organizers of the concert have hired the re-founded legendary Dallapé orchestra, featuring Sami Saari as the soloist, to substitute for Rajaton. The organizers hope that ticket-holders are happy with the new performer and will not return their tickets, since the profit from the concert goes to UNICEF without deductions. Rajaton's singers hope the same; they are also good friends with the new director of Dallapé, opera singer Juha Hostikka. Those who wish to return their tickets, however, will get their money back at Osviitta, the service desk of Rovaniemi City.
