Ecstacy on the shimmering snow

Kuopio, February 6th

Our first school concert was awesome! We were little bit nervous 'cause it was a new situation for us. We would have to fit all the information and singing in 45 minutes and make it interesting and funny but be serious at the same time. We were sooo happy about the support from the pupils and how well they all behaved! We really enjoyed the atmosphere in the school. Thank you all so much!

After this we are really aiming for other school concerts as well. SO, maybe we will meet soon... in YOUR school?!

Kiuruvesi, February 6th

What a day! The same evening we had another concert at the brand new Kiurusali hall in Kiuruvesi. It was beautiful and we would like to thank everyone of you for your Kiuruvesi-style hospitality... Oh! The organic berry juices - yummy! :)

By the way, we stayed the night in a place called Sininen Helmi, or the "Blue Pearl". The place magically combines past and present, in the middle of nature. Beautiful. Magical. Maybe I got another place to visit during our summer holiday of 2009...

Helsinki, February 10th through 12th

When we got back home we had quite a job to do; we sang through 41 of our old songs that haven't been in our live repertoire for many years. We wanted to recall what kind of songs we have, but we haven't really had the time to do this before. We were all touched and tears came into our eyes while we were singing all these songs from our past. The funniest coincidence happened when we sang Mia Makaroff's Armottoman osa on February 12th, 2009. In Virpi's score it said that we had first received the piece on February 12th, 1999... HOW WEIRD IS THAT?! Or is it a sign?

I'm so sorry that I have to stop now, but I must go outside to ski and enjoy the breathtaking views here in Lapland! Isn't this season just great! Rejoice and enjoy!
