Hi Diary! During the last couple of weeks we´ve had the time to bustle about: enjoy the life at home and regular rehearsal routines, eat vegetarian meals at our new favourite restaurant, elect the local councillors and celebrate the victory of Obama, fit the new clothes for the upcoming tour, fight agaist the flu, and make an intense tour from St. Pölten to Copenhagen and back to the Finlandia Hall in less than three days! We started our mini-European-tour on the 31st of October in St. Pölten, Austria. After the concert we were pleased to meet many Finns who live in Central Europe. We also met some people who had driven hundreds of kilometres, even from the Czech Republic and Hungary, just to hear us! Incomprehensible. At the first cockcrow on Saturday morning we headed towards the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. They were having a workshop weekend for five very talented vocal ensembles and Rajaton was invited to give masterclasses for them. The very well organized session seemed to be fulfilling also for the groups – not to mention the tutors. At the end of the day we gave a concert mainly for the participants, so that was obviously a showcase for us... Another kind of showcase took place on Sunday night at the Finlandia Hall, Helsinki, where we had a joy and honour to open the show for the legendary Take 6!! I can only bow low before this gift of America for a cappella lovers: the extremely talented, brilliant and charming group set the Finnish audience on fire with their amazing groove and virtuoso singing. You know what I'm talking about if you´ve been there. Now back to the Christmas music and rehearsing the three "W-songs"...
